The kick-off meeting of the project Active Citizenship for Youths by Enhancing LIFECOMP Competencies through Innovative Teaching Tools and Techniques (ACTIVEYOUTH4LIFE) was held in Valencia, Spain, on April 27–28, 2022.

This was the first in-person gathering of the project consortium. During the meeting, partners reviewed the findings from the desk research conducted by all consortium members, which highlighted several key areas:

  • Limitations influencing the development of active citizenship among young people
  • Determinants that shape opportunities and practices related to active citizenship
  • Internal and external factors affecting youth behaviour
  • Good practices for fostering active citizenship and promoting environmental awareness and sustainability among young people

The two-day meeting was also used to discuss all planned project results in greater detail, including the curriculum, training handbook, digital escape room and filmmaking activities, as well as the development of a meaningful virtual community within the project framework. We look forward to moving ahead with the upcoming activities.
